Our Aims

The new congregation has a number of aims.  These are consistent with our values and they will inform our goals.  The new congregation aims to:

• Proclaim the twin truths of the Gospel - proclaiming salvation for all through both words and deeds. 
• Be a community where faith in God is celebrated, and people are supported and encouraged to know God and to follow him with all their hearts, minds and souls.
• Keep the life and teachings of Jesus Christ as central in our whole lives as community - at church, in our homes, and in our work places.
• Be multi-denominational and as such to be open to the work and presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
• Be both biblically-based and culturally relevant.
• Be a place of Christian community for people of all cultures.
• Be a place of Christian community for people from all walks of life.
• Be a place of reconciliation both between generations of communities, and communities of different cultures.
